AP2 demands more ESG commitment from private equity General Partners

Swedish buffer pension fund AP2 wants to be sure that ESG is close to the hearts and minds of its private equity GPs and is ready to turn down managers that won't openly discuss ESG.

Swedish buffer fund AP2 has recently turned down an 'interesting opportunity' and a 'potential new relationship' because the manager 'didn’t want to talk about ESG', said AP2 Head of External Management Anders Strömblad said during a session at the PRI summit in Paris.
