Increasing the use of wood in sustainable construction

The Danish Technological Institute recently won an EU project to increase interest in wood as a material for construction, including that of multi-story buildings.

Unlike Norway and Sweden, Denmark does not traditionally construct wooden housing, multi-story buildings in particular. In 2015, Bergen became home of a 14-storey wooden building and this spring, the world's highest wooden building opened up in Brumunddal north of Oslo.
