Global distribution head: "Index has no conscience"
Campbell Fleming, the global head of distribution at investment company Aberdeen Standard Investments, is very critical of index fund managers. They take far too little responsibility for corporate governance, he says in an interview with a Swedish investors' newssite.
There is a philosophical conflict between the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) trend and the increased inflows of capital into index funds, according to Campbell Fleming.
