Finnish holder of new ESG certificate: For me it is not about formal credentials, but about learning
Even though formal credentials in ESG Investing could at some point become mandatory, a Finnish portfolio manager with an emerging market mandate from Danske Bank Wealth Management primarily saw the course in ESG investing he completed as a tool to strengthen his understanding of ESG topics.
For portfolio manager Antti Raappana, what he learned is more important than the formal certification he achieved after studying for the new 'Certificate in ESG Investing' in the fall of 2019.
