DNB lists reasons why European green bond standard left in limbo

An EU standard for green bonds was expected by 2022, but negotiations have been left stranded though discussions continue into 2023. The wish to incorporate CSRD standards might be the main cause that negotiations were left unresolved, explained DNB Markets’ Chief of Sustainable Finance Thomas Hemmestad during Norwegian industry organization Finans Norge’s bond conference in 2023.
