Oil fund bans Chinese power giant for endangering orangutans

A Chinese hydropower project is threatening the world’s most endangered ape species and costing human lives. The Norwegian oil fund has now placed the company on its exclusion list.

The world’s largest institutional investor, Norway’s oil fund, has blacklisted a Chinese power company for environmental reasons, the fund has announced in a press release.
