Swedish fintech firm becomes one of Europe's biggest start-ups

Payment service provider Klarna has grown since it was founded in 2005 -- to the point where it is now Europe's second largest fintech start-up.

With a value of USD 2.5 billion (EUR 2.2 billion), Sweden's Klarna has grown from being just another fintech company to one of Europe's largest start-ups -- only surpassed by Adyen, according to the Financial Times.

Klarna gives shoppers 30 days to settle their online purchase and allows them to return items without paying for them.
