Fund platforms snatch half of the fees

If Norway's price war on fund fees spreads to Sweden, small savers will be the winners. Business daily Dagens Industri welcomes a price war in the Swedish market because online platforms, such as Avanza and Nordnet, currently grab half the fund fees.

It is high time for a price war on fund platform fees in Sweden, according to Swedish business daily Dagens Industri.

In its recent analysis, the paper points to a price war in Norway, which has considerably lowered the fees for fund savers. In August, Sbanken announced price reductions on more than 400 Norwegian funds, lowering the fee on DNB Technology from 1.5 percent to 1.05 percent.
