Swedish pension fund AP1 achieves highest return in ten years

With a return on investments of 15.1 percent, 2019 turned out the best year in a decade for AP1. However, the Swedish state pension fund expects markets to slow down and has adjusted its future return targets. The Swedish state buffer fund revealed new CEO earlier this week.

AP1 – one of the Swedish state pension funds – exceeded its own long-term targets by a good margin last year. The return on investments was as high as 15.1 percent and the net investment income amounted to EUR 4.60 billion (SEK 48.6 billion)
