Blackrock survey: Institutional investors to increase allocation to private markets

Institutional investors across the world seem to be shifting their interest from listed assets to private markets. Even if valuations are a concern in the private markets, asset classes like real estate and private equity are winning with institutional investors in the 2020 Global Rebalancing Survey by asset manager Blackrock.

The biggest concerns among institutional investors in asset manager BlackRock’s yearly 'Global Rebalancing Survey' are the possibility of the economic cycle turning, declining global interest rates and geopolitical instability. As for asset allocation, private markets are by far the most favored asset classes.
