Storebrand Eiendom wants to become a "gateway to the Nordics"

After buying Danish Capital Investment, Storebrand Eiendom's total investment portfolio has reached NOK 75bn (EUR 7.6bn), half of which comes from external customers. Now the asset manager wants to attract more international clients.

This autumn's acquisition of the Danish property manager Capital Investment has in many ways marked the start of a new and offensive growth strategy for Storebrand Eiendom. The real estate unit at Storebrand Asset Management, which now has 60 employees in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, wants to grow faster in the coming years.

"Not everyone may know this, but 50 percent of the capital we manage now is for external customers. It's been a long time since we were just a manager arm for Storebrand Livsforsikring," manager of Storebrand Eiendom Truls Nergaard, tells AMWatch's Norwegian sister media EiendomsWatch.
