Oil services investments and inflows help BankInvest in Q1

Net inflows have exceeded expectations at BankInvest in Q1. The EUR 20bn manager has been criticized for some of the investments in its sustainable flagship product, but CEO Lars Bo Bertram is proud that the EUR 12bn fund has managed to beat its benchmark despite massive gains for oil and gas.

Assets under management at Denmark’s third-largest asset manager dropped by 6.1% or DKK 9.1bn (EUR 1.2bn) to a total DKK 140bn (EUR 18.8bn) at the end of the first quarter of the year.

Dividend payouts in the quarter amounted to DKK 5.2bn (EUR 699m) due to a strong 2021, while the total net inflow was positive at DKK 3.3bn (EUR 443m), and according to CEO Lars Bo Bertram, they have reached this figure ahead of schedule.
