AUM in Swedish Article 9 funds halved in Q4 – EU regulation partly to blame

The Swedish fund market saw many Article 9 investment funds reclassified during Q4. According to the Swedish Investment Fund Association, complex EU sustainability regulation may have played a significant role in such decisions.

A significant number of sustainably-related Article 9 funds were reclassified as Article 8 funds during the fourth quarter of 2022, the Swedish Investment Fund Association (SIFA) reports.
