SEB expects to lose more institutional clients as they insource their asset management

The loss of several institutional clients is not a source of major concern for SEB’s CFO Masih Yazdi, as the outflows were related to “very low margin products”, he tells AMWatch in an interview.

Taking asset management in-house has become a trend for some of SEB’s large institutional clients. This means that Sweden’s largest asset manager has once again seen net outflows in the first quarter of 2023.
