State-owned private equity investor still profitable in 2022

Norway’s state-owned investment company, Argentum, has faced both internal and external turmoil during the financial year, but has still managed to contribute to state coffers.

Argentum, a Norwegian state-owned private equity investment company, had a profit of NOK 1.2bn (EUR 103m) in 2022 – though still almost only one fourth of the profit in the year prior, NOK 4.5bn (EUR 386m).
