Norway ahead of green investment target – due to one asset manager

Many investors are good at excluding companies. ”But so far, the willingness to invest in the solutions has not been as great,” says a spokesperson from the Norwegian state fund, Norfund.

According to figures from Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and government-aided investment fund Norfund, Norway’s climate financing in 2022 amounted to NOK 15.5bn (EUR 1.35bn). The goal was to invest NOK 14bn (EUR 1.22bn) per year by the end of 2026.
