Pensam lauds half year result in challenging market

In the first six months of 2018, Pensam made a return of a little over one percent. According to its CEO, the company is off to a good start compared to many rivals who are typically more exposed to equities -- assets that were generally under pressure in the first half.

Pensam may have booked a far higher return in the first half of 2017, but CEO Torsten Fels is pleased with the 1.2 percent return the pension provider secured in the first six months of 2018.

"Looking back at the first six months, it is clear that the investment market is under pressure, but we managed to get a quite satisfactory half-year result which demonstrates that we have a rather diversified portfolio and that we are not highly exposed in specific asset classes," Fels tells AM's sister site FinansWatch.
