Former pension company CEO rebukes the industry: "Everyone sort of runs around trying to prove they're greener than the rest"

At times, pension funds are more concerned with appearing green than acting it, says Paul Brüniche-Olsen, former Chief Executive Officer of Denmark's Lærernes Pension. Anders Schelde from MP Pension partly agrees with the retired CEO on several points of view but claims not to have excluded oil companies for the sole purpose of looking more green.

Pension companies have to contribute to a more climate-friendly world but the trend that has companies lined up to use exclusions to appear more green has gone too far, claims Paul Brüniche-Olsen, who has recently retired after many years as CEO at Danish pension fund Lærernes Pension.
