Danish central bank after investor skepticism: Our model provides the same transparency as Germany's green bonds

Danmarks Nationalbank's embarkment on a new model for green issuances is met with investor skepticism. According to the Danish central bank, the Danish model is just as transparent as the German, which plans to tap the market with green bonds mirroring the regular government bonds. Danish pension funds are supportive of the initiative, but await further information.

In May, the Danish central bank, Danmarks Nationalbank, announced that it is exploring the option of making green issuances. But due to limited borrowing needs, the bank is looking into an alternative solution to issuing  traditional sovereign green bonds.
