Sampension has had "improvement dialogs" with car manufacturer BMW, oil firm BP, Coloplast and brewery AB Inbev, during which the commercial pension firm has encouraged the firms to strengthen their tax reporting so that regional, instead of global, tax figures are listed, according to Sampension's press statement.
"Through our dialog with AB Inbev we have clarified our wish that the firm strengthens its tax reporting by providing regional reports on tax payments, rather than a total global figure. Furthermore, we have expressed a desire for the firm to be more transparent in its tax policy and practice," reads Sampension's Deputy Chief Investment Officer Jesper Nørgaard's statement from the release.
