PBU CEO uses "war room" to make investment decisions: "We leave our titles outside"

After becoming the CEO of PBU, Sune Schackenfeldt invented a so-called "war room" where the Danish pension fund makes all its big investment decisions. This has led to significant changes that make PBU stand out from its domestic peers.

Sune Schackenfeldt, the CEO of Danish pension fund PBU, does nothing to hide the fact that he spent years of his career in the consultancy business before entering the pension sector 14 years ago.

As a consultant, so-called "war rooms" were often used when working on a business case. As a sales director at Danish commercial pension giant PFA, Schackenfeldt created war rooms to prep his sales teams to win big company contracts.
