P+ CIO expects higher risk in portfolio as members embark on new product offering

Members at P+ will have the opportunity to choose a new average rate life cycle investment product in favor of their existing average rate scheme. All other things being equal, CIO Kåre Hahn Michelsen expects the total risk level to increase.

Danish pension fund P+ has been preparing a new life cycle product offering for its 105,000 members. Since November, all new members have been directed to the new product, where they can choose between three risk levels: low, medium and high.

Starting this summer, the DKK 150bn (EUR 20.2bn) pension fund will start giving existing members the option to leave their current average market rate product, P+ Balance, in favor of the new average rate life cycle product, P+ Livscyklus.
