Former Sparinvest CIO reunites with colleagues from ATP Alpha

Thomas Gunnarsson is teaming up with former colleagues to once again run an alternative investment strategy.

Sparinvest’s former CIO has been made partner and COO at QLO Advisors, which runs an alternative investment strategy, the Wavebreaker Strategy, that aims to diversify a traditional stock/bond portfolio without compromising liquidity.

Gunnarsson served as CIO at fund manager Sparinvest when Nykredit acquired it in 2018. The Swedish national was made redundant in May 2021, when his role as CIO for Alternatives & Multi-Assets at Nykredit was eliminated, as previously covered by AMWatch.
