Sharp drop in premium payments to Swedish pension system

Payments to pension and life insurances in Sweden declined sharply in the last three quarters of last year. This was not unexpected, chief economist says.

Swedish savers cut their payments to pension and life insurances by more than one-fourth in the final quarter of last year compared to Q4 of 2021, newly released figures from industry association Insurance Sweden show.
