Danish pension returns start recovery after huge drop in 2022

Despite heavy losses last year, Denmark’s insurance and pension sector has delivered positive returns over a five-year period.

The insurance and pension sector in Denmark appears to be recovering after delivering negative returns in a turbulent 2022. During the first five months of this year, returns totaled DKK 92bn (EUR 12.4bn), figures from Nationalbanken, the Danish central bank, show.
