Pension industry focused on costs — but avoids layoffs for now

Although AkademikerPension recently had to lay off ten employees and not rehire for six positions, the rest of the Danish pension industry is not anticipating any layoffs.

Everything in Denmark is getting costlier, even for Denmark’s pension funds. Therefore, most companies can agree that they need to keep an eye on costs. However, at the time of writing, no one expects to take such drastic action as pension fund AkademikerPension, which recently carried out a round of layoffs.
