Troubled Swedish pension giant delivers negative Q3 return

Declining stock markets affected Alecta’s return in the third quarter, the pension firm’s CEO says. Alecta doesn’t reveal if the value of its troubled Heimstaden investment has been updated in Q3.

After delivering positive returns and increasing its assets under management (AUM) during the first half of the year, Alecta experienced a downturn in Q3, newly released quarterly figures from Sweden’s largest commercial pension company show.
