Jens-Christian Stougaard, a director at Pensiondanmark for many years, has decided to leave the Danish labour-market pension provider, he writes on the social media site LinkedIn.

In an email to FinansWatch he confirms: "It is true that I have chosen to terminate my position in PensionDanmark to seek new challenges. The past 13 and a half years in Pensiondanmark – the last eight as director – have been both exciting and educational."

He states that his last working day was November 30, but that he remains available at Pensiondanmark until the end of February 2018.

Nothing concrete at hand

However, the new challenges that Jens-Christian Stougaard is searching for have not yet been specified.

"I do not have anything concrete at hand but will look at different options in the coming period," he writes.

Jens-Christian Stougaard started in Pensiondanmark in 2004 as executive assistant, but worked to become secretary director at first, then deputy director, and most recently Director of Business Development, Analysis, Public Affairs and Responsibility since the beginning of 2009.

He has also been chairman of the Dansif investment network in the period 2013-2016.

Jens-Christian Stougaard graduated from the University of Copenhagen in 1999, and he also has an MBA from Copenhagen Business School.

His career started as an economist in LO, then he became a senior advisor at AC, the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations, where he spent two years before joining Pensiondanmark.
