New CIO searches for head of equities and two "talents"

Appointing one of its own as its new chief investment officer has opened up a vacancy at Denmark's EUR 10 billion pension fund PBU. The fund now needs a new head of equities, and the investment team is set to expand with two young investment "talents", PBU's chief executive tells AMWatch.

After a two-month search for a new chief investment officer, the Danish pension fund for early childhood and youth educators, Pædgagoernes Pensionskasse (PBU) picked Carsten Warren Petersen for the position.

The 44-year-old investment professional is a familiar face at PBU, having started work at the pension fund in 2010. He was head of credit for six years and then moved into the role of head of equities in 2016.
