The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the regulator of the EU’s securities markets, has reappointed Erik Thedéen from Sweden's Finansinspektionen (FI) for another two and half years on its Management Board. Thedéen, who is currently the only Nordic member of Esma's management board, was reappointed alongside two other board members. The next board term begins on October 1, 2019.

Norwegian state-owned private equity company Norfund has appointed Olaug Svarva as its new Chair of the Board. Svarva has been Chief Executive Officer at Folketrygdfondet from 2006 to 2012. Folketrygdfondet's main task is management of the Government Pension Fund Norway on behalf of the Ministry of Finance. She is currently Chair of the Board at DNB and has also had a seat in the board room of several nomination committees for Norwegian companies. Svarva replaces Kristin Clemet who steps down after twelve years as active chair of Norfund's board.
