Danish pension scheme poaches physicist from Nordea to be new chief risk officer

P+ names new Chief Risk Officer who has worked for Danske Bank and Nordea for many years – and also holds a PhD in Physics.

For more than ten years, Line Hjortshøj Pedersen has had leading roles at Danske Bank and Nordea.

Now, she exchanges the banking sector for the pension business, as he has just been hired as the new Chief Risk Officer for the pension fund for academics P+.

According to a press release, Hjortshøj Pedersen has a great deal of experience working with quantitative models from her time at the two major banks.

Most recently, she worked as the Head of Desk Quants at Nordea Markets.

Hjortshøj Pedersen further holds a PhD in Physics from Aarhus University. Her work at at P+ began on Monday Jan. 4.
