Swedish insurance company Länsförsäkringar has hired Fredrik Källström as its new head of fund offering at unit-linked business Länsförsäkringar Fondliv.

Källström joins from Danske Bank, where he served for almost four years as a senior product specialist for balanced mandates. His previous experience also includes a position as a portfolio manager for alternative investments at Ålandsbanken and 16 years at Alfred Berg in various roles. He announced his new role on LinkedIn recently.

Källström will report to LF Fondliv Head of Product Jim Rotsman, who tells AMWatch that Källström will be responsible for analyzing funds primarily used in its SEK 191bn (EUR 19bn) pension offering.

Recent H1 figures showed that Fondliv’s assets under management have dropped from last year’s SEK 200bn (EUR 20bn) and that the average total returns for the last 12 months amounted to -10,4%. However, the premium inflow to the business amounted to SEK 10.5bn (EUR 1bn) during the first half of 2022.
