Career Path: When Majken Hauge Johansen switched from the sell side to the buy side, her life changed. It made her able to plan her work hours and led to the job she has today as Head of Alternative Investments at Sampension.

• Which career path did you envision for yourself when you were younger?

I have always enjoyed communicating and speaking with people. When I was in gymnasium (upper secondary school), I thought of becoming a journalist. But, the notion of moving to Aarhus without knowing anyone there made me reconsider. I chose Copenhagen Business School instead, based on the idea that a having both a bachelor and master's degree in business would be a broad and useful education.
