Renewables pay off for Danish pension funds in 2017

Last year, Danish pension funds made higher returns from infrastructure investments than they gleaned from equity funds, a new report reveals.

Big investments in wind turbines, solar panels and biomass performed well for several Danish pension funds in 2017, according to a report from web news service InsideBusiness.

In a report on last year's returns on alternative and infrastructure investments, the news service said these assets had even outperformed several equity funds. Investments in the energy sector have also been a contributing factor in the increases in total returns seen by many pension funds, the report showed.
