In a newly-created role, Northern Trust Asset Management (AM) has put a new senior manager in place, appointing Marie Dzanis as Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Northern Trust Asset Management had EUR 813 billion ($954.4 billion) in AUM at the end of March this year.

Dzanis is taking over from Wayne Bower who left Northern Trust early this year. Bower was functioning both as CIO and CEO. In the new organizational structure the firm has adopted, Bower's previous role is being split into two, with Dzanis assuming the CEO function. The CIO vacancy will be filled later this year, Northern Trusts AM tells AMWatch.
