Reporting and talk indicate that the market for direct lending to medium-sized companies is overcrowded. But in Sweden Proventus Capital Partners has been successful by sticking to a stringent strategy.

The name of Swedish direct lender Proventus was not picked at random. The word is Latin and carries several meanings: Outcome, result, increase, grow, crop, yield and success ­ all ideas that Proventus likes to say it creates or co-creates together with the small and medium-sized businesses it lends to, primarily in Scandinavia and Germany.
