Back in 2002, in the wake of the collapse of the dot-com bubble when leveraged buy-outs reached an unparalleled size, Danish labor-market pension fund Industriens Pension decided to dip its toe in the venture capital pool. That dip became a swim, and today Industriens Pension is directly invested into 60 venture capital funds around the globe.
