Nordic pension funds in investor wave urging political climate action

Rapidly growing numbers of institutional investors – among them major Nordic pension funds – are backing a statement to put pressure on politicians to accelerate their policies on climate change mitigation. The statement was timed to coincide with COP24 talks on the Paris Agreement taking place in Poland's Katowice this week.

Investors are pushing for policy makers around the world to take action to lessen climate change. This week, more than 400 institutional investors – including 33 from Nordic countries – issued a statement calling on world leaders to do more and speed up their policies.
