Nasdaq battles Euronext and makes rival bid on Oslo bors

Nasdaq plans to make a USD 771 million bid for Oslo bors, and by that Nasdaq battles Euronext's bid which was made before Christmas. However, Euronext has pre-approval from equity holders representing over 50 percent, whereas the board of directors of Oslo Bors recommends an approval of Nasdaq's offer.

Nasdaq has made a bid for Oslo Bors, and the board of directors recommends that equity holders accept the offer which is NOK 152 per equity including and interest rate of 6 percent per annum on the offer price, says a Nasdaq press release.
