Swedish fund assets have grown exponentially over the past 40 years, largely on the back of strong long-term growth on equity and bond markets.

When the Swedish Investment Fund Association was founded back in 1979, only 17 savers' funds had been set up. Forty years later, there are now around 3,000 funds available on the Swedish market for savers to choose from.
