Sweden considered world leader in green bonds

The World Bank sister organization IFC has picked Sweden as educational hub for its major investments in green bonds for emerging markets, reflecting Sweden's leading role in the green bond market.

During the first quarter of 2019, green bonds totaled 27.8 percent of all bonds issued in Swedish kronor.

To compare, the EU average was 7 percent in 2018 and the global average 2.5 percent in terms of investment grade corporate bonds, according to news site
