Pandemic wipes out hedge fund gains but HCP Focus fund remains resistant

Losses at hedge funds over the first quarter of 2020 have wiped out gains made in 2019, alternative asset class analyst Preqin states. At Helsinki Capital Partners, the company's Focus fund has so far been resistant to the effects of the pandemic, Portfolio Manager Pasi Havia says.

In the longer term, investors seem set on increasing their allocations in alternative asset classes as a result of the pandemic, expects alternative assets analysis firm Preqin.
