Asset manager believes new Unicef fund can pave way for bigger Nordic presence

Triodos Investment Management has developed a new fund alongside Unicef as the impact manager aims to increase its presence in Nordics.

The number of children with severe malnutrition was rising even before war in Ukraine threatened to plunge the world deeper into a spiraling global food crisis - and it’s getting worse, Unicef warned in a Child Alert in May 2022.

Worldwide, 160 million children work out of sheer necessity, 58 million children receive no or very little education and many children do not have equal opportunities.

To help mitigate this development, Dutch firm Triodos Investment Management (Triodos IM) recently launched its Future Generations Fund, a thematic fund investing in companies that make a positive change for children now and in the future.
