LGIM reinstates Japanese company after fruitful engagement process

Commenting on the most recent divestments and reinstatements of companies, LGIM’s Global ESG Manager Maria Larsson Ortino says it is rare that a company doesn’t respond when contacted about tackling climate change, but this has happened in a handful of cases.

London-based asset manager Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has reinstated Japan Post Holdings in its investments thanks to the insurer’s improvements in tackling climate change. LGIM also tells AMWatch its investments in Russia have been reduced further from the 0.1% of total assets of EUR 1.69trn the firm reported at the beginning of March.
