Nordea liquidates fund with immediate effect

The biggest Nordic bank is shutting down one of its funds.

Nordea is liquidating the fund Nordea 1 – Long Duration US Bond Fund with immediate effect, the company announces in a shareholder notice.

The reason for the liquidation is the the level of assets in the fund no longer allows Nordea to operate the fund in an economically efficient manner. A peer group comparison on Citywire Selector shows that the fund ranks 398 out of 403 over a three year period with a negative return of 24.8% measured in USD.
