Former AP3 CEO to her successor: "It’s important to protect the fund reform"
After many years of the Swedish buffer funds’ returns exceeding their targets and now inflation reducing the real value of pensions, the debate has been sparked in Sweden to use the surplusses from the AP funds to increase pensions.
At the end of October, Staffan Hansén took over as CEO at AP3, the Third Swedish National Pension Fund, after Kerstin Hessius left the position after 18 years in the role. The two had a few months together before Hessius left the fund, and an eventful year, behind.
