Q4 brought more balance to pension giant Ilmarinen's difficult year

Only real estate investments, which make some 12% of Ilmarinen’s portfolio, yielded a positive return in 2022. The CEO of the pensions giant would like to see regulatory reform.

At Finland’s Ilmarinen the fourth quarter of last year ended up being the only quarter with positive investment return in 2022. Out of all asset classes in the pensions giant’s portfolio only real estate investments pulled in positive returns, the company reports.
