UK pension fund invests SEK billions in leading Swedish real estate firm

A sizeable investment from a major UK-based pension fund will partly finance Heimstaden’s bond buy back of more than SEK 10bn.

One of Sweden’s largest real estate firms, Heimstaden Bostad, has raised SEK 3.337bn (EUR 299m) in new equity from UK-based Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) and existing shareholders.
