AP7 toughens voting on companies with high emissions and low climate progress

Major Swedish pension fund has “strengthened” its expectations of companies that lag behind their peers on climate change – and will vote accordingly at AGMs.

The default fund in Sweden’s premium pension system, AP7, will vote against board members and financial statements of high-emitting companies that fail to show “sufficient progress towards the climate transition,” it has announced in a press release.
