EU reports identify numerous ways of misleading ESG investors

An airport calling itself ”green” because of solar panels on its roof is an example of misleading sustainability information, a new report by the EU’s financial markets watchdog states.

Cherry-picking. Omission. Ambiguity. Empty claims – including exaggeration. Misleading use of ESG terminology – such as the name of a particular fund.
